Part of the NEPENTHES family, SOUTH2WEST8 was founded in Sapporo, in Northern Japan, and started as a shop before becoming the clothing brand it is today. Officially launched in 2002 and headed by Kaname Nagaoka, the brand is largely based on Tenkara fly fishing. Presenting pieces that are designed with technical details specifically to be worn during fishing excursions and more city-friendly options inspired by the outdoors.
With the theme of “fishing”, many collections feature items with technical capabilities that exhibit the brand’s ingenuity, craftsmanship and creativity. From their humble beginnings as a storefront and fly fishing outpost, the brand now encompasses the ability to go from country to city.
