The loopwheel sweatshirt, now only produced in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, using machines that are still in existence, is made with an inefficient process that yields only about 10 meters of fabric per day, just like the American sweatshirts of the 1940s and 50s. However, its greatest appeal lies in its soft texture and superior comfort.
This luxurious loopwheel sweatshirt is made from pre-dyed Zimbabwean cotton (brown cotton). This process allows you to directly enjoy the natural feel of the raw cotton fibers.
The garment is constructed using flatlock stitching with a Union Special sewing machine. The ribbing uses a random needle-out technique. The gusset is a double V-insert design. The neck ribbing is sewn with a double-needle sewing machine, resulting in a meticulously crafted sweatshirt with numerous thoughtful details.
