INTRODUCING: DENIM PAIRINGS
THIS FALL WE’RE INTRODUCING DENIM PAIRINGS: a new series where we showcase what goes best with denim. As simple as that.
There may not be a more classic pairing out there than denim and boots. Of course, since back in the 19th century in California when the blue jean was first invented, it’s been the go-to matchup. Work boots, hunting boots, engineer boots, military grade boots, you name it. And with hot summer days squarely behind us in NYC, boot season has arrived.
Not all boots are created equal though. And when it comes to quality, you’d be hard-pressed to beat the New England shoe company founded back in 1884, still making shoes in their Massachusetts factory: Alden. That’s why for our first installment of the series, we’re featuring the Alden Indy Boot. As soon as you take a fresh pair out of the box, the smell of the natural leather in and of itself is a visceral reminder of that handmade touch. Craftsmanship being one of the tenets of our own line of original denim, Alden is a brand whose history and philosophy resonate deeply.
